A Note on the Fridge

Sam and Jo shared a small apartment. One evening, Sam used the last of the milk. He wanted to tell Jo, but Jo was at work. Sam left a note on the fridge: 'Buy milk.'

When Jo came home, she wondered who should buy it and when. The shop near their home was already closed. The next morning, they both went out and bought a bottle of milk.

They laughed about the two bottles. After that, they wrote clearer notes. Sam's next note said, 'No milk left. I will buy one bottle after work today.' Jo could now make her own plans without guessing.
